    E3 Impressions: Kirby’s Epic Yarn

As we could all agree, Kirby titles just don’t seem to utilized the franchise’s potential! While games such as, the Amazing mirror, Nightmare in Dreamland and Superstar Ultra are addictive, Kirby Console games just don’t bat the nail on the head right! In 2005, Kirby fans were on the edge of their seats awaiting the [...]

2010: The year of the Wii

let’s face it, it’s been a little hard for passionate gamers to keep the faith over the last few years as far as the Wii is concerned. Preview: Calling

Calling seems to be more of a mix between Fatal Frame and Ringu or One Missed Call (The Japanese version, not that American re-do) and caters to the idea of modern media as a medium for the spirit world to manifest itself.

Review: Borderlands (The Games That Time Forgot)

Don’t let title fool you, I immensely enjoy the game and am not outright panning it – I am however going to start off by making a point that the game concepts are extremely unoriginal. On the other hand I will attest to its innovation being largely attributed to the intuitive patchwork layout which brought these borrowed concepts to a focal point central to the overall, great fluid feel of the game. It's also important to understand that while Borderlands is slotted as an RPG/FPS it isn't a true slit genre. It contains RPG elements, but it is far from anything one would consider an RPG. What Borderlands becomes is an FPS with an adjustable character - nothing more.
